What Do You Like? An Exploration of Student Blogs

Take a look at the following student-written blogs. Consider what types of blogs you like to read? What writing style appeals to you? What kind of blogger do you want to be?

Telegraph: “Meet the Children Blogging…” This is an article from The Telegraph newspaper’s website. It profiles several student bloggers and provides links to their blogs. Skim the article and check out a couple of the student blogs it mentions.

Condor Press (SBJH’s Online Newspaper) While not officially a blog, Santa Barbara Junior High uses wordpress to create an online school newspaper. Skim the various posts and choose one or two articles to read.

Edudemic “30 Incredible Blogs Written by Students” The educational technology site Edudemic has compiled a list of 30 student blogs, written by kids ranging from ages 9 to 14. Try out a few before settling on one to read.
