Little Book of Greatness

Do you know what it takes to be great? Which text do you relate to the  most? How does this idea of greatness connect to your “real life?”

The final assignment of this unit is to create your own “little book of greatness.” In this book you will–

  • Find a quotation about greatness and explain why you relate to it
  • Create a concrete poem using some of the words we’ve studied in various texts
  • Write a brief summary of one text we read
  • Explain what you’ve learned to a parent or guardian
